Business & GST
New Zealand GST defaults
Currently 15% — the NZ standard rate is 15%.
Applied to left and right sleeve placements on new lines.
Terms & notes templates
Reusable customer-facing text for quotes and invoices. Choose one while creating or editing a sales document, then customise it if needed.
No templates saved yet. You can create names such as Invoice Template A, Invoice Template B, Quote Template A, or item-specific templates.
Selecting a template copies its text into the document. Editing the document afterwards does not change the saved template.

Payment choices for the selected organization.
Bank transfer
Show your bank details securely inside MyCountz Pay.
Online EFTPOS
NZ bank-app payment option. This can stay enabled alongside open banking.
BNZ open banking / account-to-account
Direct BNZ open-banking pathway. MyCountz will only enable live payment initiation after BNZ approves API access and the required production credentials/certificates are installed on the server.
Kiwibank open banking / account-to-account
Direct Kiwibank open-banking pathway. Customers authenticate with Kiwibank; MyCountz does not ask for or store their bank password. Live use requires approved API access and server credentials.
Afterpay
Offer Afterpay and add a configurable customer surcharge.
The Print Minister is currently set to 6%. Confirm this against the actual Afterpay merchant cost before using it with customers.
Laybuy by Klarna
Offer Laybuy by Klarna for eligible NZ customers once merchant API credentials are connected.
Card payments
Turns on the card option in MyCountz Pay. Live card entry activates only after a regulated card processor is connected.
These switches control the organization's available payment choices. BNZ and Kiwibank direct open-banking settings are prepared separately from Afterpay and Laybuy. Live BNZ/Kiwibank use requires each bank's approved API access plus the required server-side certificates/credentials.

Payment preferences are stored per organization. Akahu is not used. BNZ and Kiwibank are the only open-banking targets for now; their credentials and certificates stay server-side.
